Servings
3 cups
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or agave nectar
- dash vanilla (alcohol free)
Directions
Blend the ingredients until smooth and milky white. Then strain out the pulp using a nut milk bag. Sweeten by blending in raw honey or agave nectar and vanilla.
The leftover pulp can then dried in a food dehydrator and used as almond flour in other raw food recipes such as raw coconut macaroons.
Making almond milk really requires a powerful blender like the BlendTec or Vitamix blenders. Otherwise, blending almonds can wear out and destroy cheap blenders pretty quickly. A powerful one will also blend the almonds more thoroughly to make for the creamiest and most nutritious almond milk possible.
